深圳曼徹斯通城堡國際學校招收5至18歲的學生。主要教學語言是英語。作為核心課程的一部分,一至九年級的全部學生需要學習中文(普通話)。
Merchiston Castle International School educates children from age 5 to 18. The primary teaching language is English, with all students from Years 2-9 additionally accessing Mandarin language learning as part of the core curriculum.

The curriculum in Primary School Year 2 includes upperKey Stage One of the English National Curriculum, enhanced to meet international requirements and the local culture in China. Our Key Stage 1 approach to learning is student-centred, play-based and cross-curricular. This inquiry-based learning model nurtures learning dispositions and engages students in topics of interest. Children learn how to communicate their ideasand listen to others, to solve problems and to persevere with tasks.
三至六年級的教學采用了英國國家教育課程的第二關鍵階段課程。在該階段學校采用基于主題的教學方法和跨學科的教學模式,按照教學主題或興趣領域對各個教學科目進行整合。學生需要主修英語和數(shù)學兩門核心課程,并向專業(yè)教師學習中文、體育、藝術、設計技術、音樂等科目。
The curriculum in Years 3-6 includes Key Stage Two of the English National Curriculum which is similarly enhanced to meet international requirements and the local culture in China. In Primary School Key Stage 2,students engage in topic-based learning, a cross-curricular approach that integrates different subject matter under umbrella topics or areas of interest. Students have dedicated core English and Mathematics lessons and specialist teachers for Mandarin, PE, Art & Design Technology and Music.
中學階段的七至九年級以英國國家教育課程的第三關鍵階段課程為基礎。十年級的學生開始進行IGCSE(國際普通中等教育)課程的學習。在兩年的嚴格訓練中,學生修習數(shù)學、科學、英語、其他外語、藝術、人文學科等范圍廣泛的科目,最終在十一年級結束時參加證書考試。從十二年級開始,學生用兩年時間修習GCE A-Level(英國高等教育A級)課程,為高等考試做好充分準備。
Secondary School students from Year 7 to Year 9 followthe MCIS Key Stage Three curriculum which is again based on the English National Curriculum enhanced to meet the needs of our international student body.In Year 10 the students begin their IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) studies. This is a rigorous two-year course of study that requires students to take a broad range of subjects covering Mathematics and Sciences, English and other foreign languages, the Arts and the Humanities. It culminates in examinations at theend of Year 11 and prepares students well for the two-year General Certificateof Education (GCE) A level courses starting in Year 12. Option subject specifics have yet to be determined.
