Linda：Oh, Henry. I haven’t seen you in ages. Come in. Let me take your coat. How are you getting along??

Henry：Very well, thank you.

Linda：Please take a seat. Everything will be ready in a minute.

Henry：Can you bring me a glass of orange juice, please? I am quite thirsty.

Linda：Here you are. (at the table)

Linda：Here you go. We have your cocktail and there’re salad, fried chicken, French fries? and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Eat the chicken while it’s hot. It tastes better.

Henry：Wow! You’re right. Everything is absolutely delicious. Please pass the pepper.

Linda：Here you are. Taste the French fries.

Henry：They’re soft.

Linda：Would you like some more?

Henry：No more. Thank you.

Linda：Here’s to our friendship and health!

Henry：Bottoms up!

吃飯

琳達(dá)：哦，亨利，好久不見(jiàn)。進(jìn)來(lái)吧。我來(lái)給你拿大衣。最近過(guò)得怎么樣？

亨利：非常好，謝謝。

琳達(dá)：請(qǐng)坐。飯菜一會(huì)兒就準(zhǔn)備好。

亨利：能給我拿杯橙汁嗎？我很渴。

琳達(dá)：給你。（在飯桌上）

琳達(dá)：來(lái)了。這是你的雞尾酒，這兒有沙拉?、炸雞、炸薯?xiàng)l和甜點(diǎn)香草冰淇淋。趁著雞肉還熱趕緊吃，味道會(huì)好一點(diǎn)。

亨利：哇！真好吃。每道菜都很好吃。請(qǐng)幫忙遞一下胡椒。

琳達(dá)：給你。嘗嘗炸薯?xiàng)l。

亨利：很軟。

琳達(dá)：再來(lái)一點(diǎn)嗎？

亨利：不要了，謝謝。

琳達(dá)：為了我們的友誼和健康干杯?！

亨利：干杯！
