1In the first picture, a peasant boy, carrying a heavy bundle of rice straw is out of breath under the great pressure. 2His hope is to have a school to attend.





3In the second picture, a student is on his way home from school, a heavy bag of books on his back. 4What he wishes is that he didn’t have to go to school any more.

第一、二句描述了第一幅圖畫(huà)的內(nèi)容。第一句是人物動(dòng)作及表情;第二句是圖畫(huà)釋義。
*句子剖析:第一、二句是都是系表結(jié)構(gòu)的簡(jiǎn)單句,“carrying a heavy bundle of rice straw”是現(xiàn)在分詞做后置定語(yǔ),修飾a peasant boy。第一句的表語(yǔ)是介詞短語(yǔ);第二句的表語(yǔ)是動(dòng)詞不定式。
* out of breath喘不過(guò)氣;under the great pressure在巨大的壓力下;
第三、四句描述了第二幅圖畫(huà)的內(nèi)容。第三句是人物動(dòng)作及表情;第四句是圖畫(huà)釋義。
*句子剖析:第三句是系表結(jié)構(gòu)的簡(jiǎn)單句。第四句是復(fù)合句,what引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句,that引導(dǎo)表語(yǔ)從句。
*on his way home在回家的路上;


1The two pictures show some problems in the present education system in China.


2In the poor countryside, especially in some western parts of China, the education is also poor. 3They are sometimes forced to leave their studies because their families cannot afford the necessary fees.


4However, the situation is totally different in the cities. 5Almost all the children in the cities can have regular education. 6But they have their own problems. 7What they face is the endless homework, which puts so much pressure on them that some students don’t want to continue their studies.
【第二段是說(shuō)明原因段?!?br /> 第一句是本段的主旨句,指出圖畫(huà)反映的中國(guó)教育體制問(wèn)題。



第二、三句是針對(duì)第一幅圖畫(huà)展開(kāi)的原因分析。
*句子剖析:第二句是系表結(jié)構(gòu)的簡(jiǎn)單句,”In the poor… parts of China”,這部分是地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)。 第三句是復(fù)合句,because引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句。
*be forced to do…被強(qiáng)迫做某事; afford…負(fù)擔(dān)


第四句到第七句是針對(duì)第二幅畫(huà)展開(kāi)的原因分析。第四句是總述,后三句是具體闡述。
*句子剖析:前三句都是簡(jiǎn)單句,第七句是復(fù)合句,what引導(dǎo)主語(yǔ)從句,在從句中充當(dāng)賓語(yǔ)成分,which引導(dǎo)非限制性定語(yǔ)從句修飾前面整個(gè)句子,在這個(gè)非限制定語(yǔ)從句中,有so…that結(jié)構(gòu),that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句。

第二句是針對(duì)第一幅圖畫(huà)采取的解決措施:希望工程。
*句子剖析:句子主干是主系表結(jié)構(gòu)。to ensure 是目的狀語(yǔ),that引導(dǎo)動(dòng)詞ensure的賓語(yǔ)從句。
*be in operation在運(yùn)作中
第三、四句式針對(duì)第二幅圖畫(huà)采取的解決措施:減負(fù)。
*句子剖析:第三句是被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)的現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)態(tài); 第四句是被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)的一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。
*put into force開(kāi)始執(zhí)行
第五句到第七句是本段的總結(jié):任何解決措施都不可能一蹴而就。
*cannot do…with one leap不可能一蹴而就;there is a long way to go…做某事還有很長(zhǎng)的路要走; make some contributions做貢獻(xiàn)
