【譯文】數(shù)百萬人開始熱衷于進行各種有氧運動，全國各地出現(xiàn)了上千家健身中心，利用這一新興健身熱潮，尤其是女性有氧舞蹈獲利。
【析句】本例句充分體現(xiàn)了英語語言中名詞、介詞的靈活運用。整句話只由兩個并列句子組成，millions of individuals became engaged..., 和thousands of health spas developed to capitalize...，每個句子只有一個謂語動詞分別是became、developed。后句中，當出現(xiàn)其他動詞時，或者用不定時to capitalize，或者用分詞形式emerging，或者用介詞on，或者用名詞interest，表達出漢語中多個動作的含義。

2. These fitness spas did not seem to benefit financially from the aerobic fitness movement to better health, since medical opinion suggested that weight-training programs offered few,if any,health benefits. (2002. 閱讀. Text 4)
【譯文】這些健身中心看上去不能從“有氧健身運動對健康有益”的觀念中盈利了，因為醫(yī)學觀念認為，體重鍛煉項目即便能夠對健康起到益處，也是微乎其微的。
【析句】復合句。主句These fitness spas did not seem to benefit from the aerobic fitness movement to better health, 其中包含短語benefit...from..., 意為“從......中得到獲益”，to better health是不定式作定語修飾the aerobic fitness movement。since medical opinion suggested that...，since引導原因狀語從句，suggest后是that賓語從句weight-training programs offered few,if any,health benefits,if any是省略了there is的條件狀語從句作插入語。

【析句】復合句。句子主干為While it’s true that...,it is true tha...andthat..., 逗號前第一段中，While引導讓步狀語從句，從句里面it是形式主語，代替后面that引導的主語從句that we all need a career；
逗號后面的第二段是主句，結構是形式主語it代替兩個并列的that主語從句；在并列的第一個that從句中，far removed from our own是過去分詞短語做fields的后置定語。
