分裂句是以it為引導(dǎo)詞的強(qiáng)調(diào)句型。句型是這樣的：It is/was 被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分(通常是主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)或狀語(yǔ)) that/ who(強(qiáng)調(diào)主語(yǔ)且主語(yǔ)指人) 其他部分。例如說(shuō)It was Jane that/who called thismorning.

那為什么在口語(yǔ)答題中需要用到分裂句呢? 那是因?yàn)榉至丫淇梢云鸬酵怀鰪?qiáng)調(diào)表達(dá)重點(diǎn)的效果，保持句子平衡，使答題的邏輯性更強(qiáng)，清晰易懂，也更符合西方人的思維習(xí)慣。

Q: Have you ever learnt any courses about stars and planets at school?

A: Yes, I have. It was actually my geography teacher who taught me about them. He was incredibly encouraging but quite strict, because he was convinced that these courses can provide us with basic knowledge that we should learn in order to better understand our universe.

在回答這道題時(shí)使用分裂句強(qiáng)調(diào)了是我的地理老師教我這些課程的。然后順理成章地進(jìn)一步描述了為什么他認(rèn)為要學(xué)習(xí)這些課程。如果回答“Yes, I have. My geography teacher taught me about them.”，那顯然這道題的回答是不夠充分的。

Q: Who bought your clothes for you when you were a child?

A: When I was a kid, it was my parents who chose the clothes for me. When they noticed that I was short of clothes, they would take me to the stores in downtown areas, and picked out the clothes that would suit me most.

這里使用分裂句避免了答題時(shí)再簡(jiǎn)單重復(fù)問(wèn)題，不讓考官覺(jué)得我們?cè)跍惢卮鹱謹(jǐn)?shù)，同時(shí)，也為下面我們要回答的內(nèi)容定了拓展方向，方便我們進(jìn)一步進(jìn)行補(bǔ)充說(shuō)明。

? 推論類：

It is not that he loves her. It's just that he has a way with her that is different.

It is not that Jack is malevolent. It'sjust that he makes strict demands on them.

If he wants to be an actor, it's because he wants to be famous.

If she was reticent, it's just because she was sad.
