在新概念三Lesson 18中，作者參觀現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)展時發(fā)出了由衷的感嘆："These peculiar forms shock people emotionally!" 大家有沒有參觀過現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)館呢？參觀過的同學(xué)有沒有被那些奇奇怪怪天馬行空的藝術(shù)品雷得里焦外嫩呢？今天，我就來帶大家了解幾個世界上著名的現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館。這些博物館不僅收藏了很多現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)的大師級珍品，其建筑本身也是不可多得的藝術(shù)品哦！

法國篷皮杜藝術(shù)中心

Centre Georges Pompidou (also known as the Pompidou Centre in English) is a complex in the Beaubourg area of the 4th arrondissement of Paris. The Centre is named after Georges Pompidou, the President of France who decided its creation.

蓬皮杜中心（Centre Georges Pompidou）全名為蓬皮杜國家藝術(shù)和文化中心（Centre national d'art et de culture Georges-Pompidou），是一棟座落于法國首都巴黎第四區(qū)的復(fù)合建筑。在1969年時，法國總統(tǒng)喬治蓬皮杜（Georges Pompidou）倡議興建一座現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館，后來這座中心就被命名為蓬皮杜中心來紀(jì)念他。

The Centre was built from 1972 to 1977.It was designed in the style of high-tech architecture known for its exposed skeleton of brightly colored tubes for mechanical systems.

蓬皮杜藝術(shù)中心建于1972年至1976年，是一座具有未來主義風(fēng)格的建筑，整個建筑由縱橫的彩色管道、碩大的玻璃墻體和錯綜的鋼架構(gòu)成。

The New York Times noted that the design of the Centre "turned the architecture world upside down" “The center revolutionized museums.”

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is often identified as the most influential museum of modern art in the world.It is located in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, on 53rd Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館是世界上最杰出的現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館之一。位于紐約市的曼哈頓，第53街（在第五和第六大道之間）。

Considered by many to have the best collection of modern Western masterpieces in the world, MoMA's holdings include more than 150,000 individual pieces in addition to approximately 22,000 films and 4 million film stills. You can find one of the familiar works in the collection houses: The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh.

在現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)的領(lǐng)域里，該館擁有較多重要的收藏。目前已擁有館藏個人作品超過15萬件、2萬多部電影以及4百萬幅電影劇照。你可以在紐約現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)博物館中發(fā)現(xiàn)很多熟悉的作品，如梵高的《星月夜》。

The Dali Theatre and Museum is a museum of the artist Salvador Dali in his home town of Figueres, in Catalonia.

西班牙達(dá)利美術(shù)館位于藝術(shù)家達(dá)利的家鄉(xiāng)，加泰隆尼亞，菲格雷斯。

It houses the single largest and most diverse collection of works by Salvador Dali, the heart of which was from the artist's own collection. In addition to Dali paintings from all decades of his career, there are Dali sculptures, 3-dimensional collages, mechanical devices and other curiosities from Dali's imagination.
