2017高考英語聽力備考:人物關(guān)系、職業(yè)、身份

 

  關(guān)于人物關(guān)系、職業(yè)、身份等相關(guān)方面的聽力試題要求在某一特定環(huán)境下,對(duì)說話人的身份進(jìn)行推理與判斷。該項(xiàng)內(nèi)容的考查多是以who或what開頭的特殊疑問句,其常問方式有:

  What is the man (woman)?

  What’s the man’s (woman’s) occupation (職業(yè))?

  Who is the man speaker?

  What’s the probable relationship between the two speakers?

  解這類試題時(shí),我們可根據(jù)對(duì)話內(nèi)容所提供的稱呼語并結(jié)合生活常識(shí)進(jìn)行判斷。如:聽到“Dear teacher”就可判斷出二者之間為師生關(guān)系;聽到“My dear, darling”就可判斷為夫妻或其他家庭成員(如母子、父女等)之間的關(guān)系;聽到“Can I help you?”或“What can I do for you?”就可判斷為服務(wù)員與顧客之間的關(guān)系。所以,在平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)中,熟悉特定的場(chǎng)景用語和關(guān)鍵詞,這對(duì)我們更好地解答有關(guān)人物關(guān)系、對(duì)話發(fā)生地點(diǎn)的題目會(huì)很有幫助。常見的特殊地點(diǎn)用語如下:

  餐館用語:restaurant, menu, bill, order, tip, hamburger, sandwich, soup, dish, beer, soft drink等;

  醫(yī)院用語:hospital, take medicine, temperature, pill, headache, fever, blood pressure等;

  賓館用語:hotel, luggage, single room, double room, room number等;

  郵局用語:post office, mail, deliver, stamp, envelope, telegram等;

  機(jī)場(chǎng)用語:airport, flight, take off, land等;

  車站用語:railway station, round trip, single trip, sleeping car等;

  商店用語:shop, on sale, size, color, price, change等;

  學(xué)校用語:school, professor, exam, course, dining hall, playground等。

  請(qǐng)看一個(gè)實(shí)例:

  What is the relationship between the speakers? (全國(guó)卷)

  A. They are friends.

  B. They are strangers to each other.

  C. They are husband and wife.

  相應(yīng)的錄音原文是:

  W: Excuse me, sir?

  M: Can I help you?

  W: My name is Jane Smith. I’m a designer, looking for a job.

  M: See my secretary. She will set you up with the test.

  W: When?

  M: Next month.

  W: I can’t wait that long.

  M: Excuse me?

  W: I can’t wait a month. I need something sooner.

  M: I’m sorry.

  此題要求判斷聽力原文中兩者之間的關(guān)系,同學(xué)們只要抓住其中的My name is Jane Smith并結(jié)合常識(shí),則很容易判斷兩者的關(guān)系是陌生人,如果是朋友或夫妻關(guān)系,那用得著介紹嗎?故答案為B。

  請(qǐng)?jiān)倏匆粋€(gè)實(shí)例:

  Who is the woman talking to? (北京卷)

  A. A student.

  B. A teacher.

  C. A secretary.

  相應(yīng)的錄音原文是:

  W: Oh, Frank’s in your class? He was in my class last term. I didn’t like him at all.

  M: What? You didn’t like Frank? He’s one of my best students.

  W: Oh, no. Not Frank! He was always asking questions. Frank always interrupted me and the other students. He was never quiet.

  M: Yes, that’s Frank. That’s why he is such a good student. He is always thinking and trying to use English. He laughs a lot. Frank doesn’t worry about making mistakes. I enjoy having him in class.

  W: Not me. I love students like David. Do you have him in your conversation class this term?

  M: Yes, but to be honest, David is too quiet for me. I can’t tell if he’s learning. David is so silent. He doesn’t say anything.

  W: Yes, that’s David. That’s how good students should be. They have to listen to their teachers.

  注意題干的提問方式,其實(shí)際是問聽力原文中男人的身份。了解這一點(diǎn)后,聽力過程中就有了很明確的方向。根據(jù)男人的第一次對(duì)話中的He’s one of my best students就可以判定男人的身份是老師,這是一場(chǎng)兩位老師談?wù)撟钕矚g的學(xué)生的對(duì)話。故答案為B。
