1.get up,站起來(lái)。
這一短語(yǔ)還可表示“起床”。
2.be afraid that,想,恐怕;be sure that, 想,認(rèn)為。
這兩個(gè)結(jié)構(gòu)后面通常接從句,在口語(yǔ)中有時(shí)that可省略。
語(yǔ)法 Grammar in use
1.賓語(yǔ)從句(1)
賓語(yǔ)從句在句中作賓語(yǔ),一般用that引導(dǎo),但在口語(yǔ)中經(jīng)常省略掉 that.
可用在 say, think, believe, hope, know, understand, suppose 等動(dòng)詞之后:
She says that she is cold. 她說(shuō)她冷。
He thinks that he needs an X-ray. 他認(rèn)為他需要拍個(gè)X片。
I know that I can repair this car. 我知道我能修理這部車(chē)。
They believe that they will have more money. 他們認(rèn)為他們會(huì)有更多的錢(qián)。
可用在某些描寫(xiě)感情的形容詞之后,如 afraid, sure, sorry,glad等:
I am sure that you need an X-ray. 我覺(jué)得你需要拍個(gè)X片。
I am sorry that you are ill. 聽(tīng)到你生病了我很難過(guò)。
2.間接引述時(shí)的時(shí)態(tài)
如果間接引語(yǔ)中的引述動(dòng)詞是現(xiàn)在時(shí),那么其后的時(shí)態(tài)通常與原來(lái)口頭陳述句的時(shí)態(tài)相同。轉(zhuǎn)述剛剛說(shuō)完的話時(shí)通常皆如此。

1.slip v.
(1)滑倒:
She slipped and fell down on the wet stones. 她腳下滑了一下,跌倒在潮濕的石頭上。
(2)滑落;脫落:
The soap slipped out of her hand. 肥皂從她的手中滑落。
(3)下滑;下跌:
Profits continue to slip this year. 利潤(rùn)今年呈持續(xù)下跌趨勢(shì)。
(4)遺忘;忽略:
Our wedding anniversary completely slipped my mind. 我把我們的結(jié)婚紀(jì)念日忘得一干二凈。
2.hurt v.
(1)弄痛;使受傷:
Have you hurt yourself? 你傷著自己了嗎?
He fell off the bicycle and hurt his leg. 他從自行車(chē)上摔下來(lái),摔傷了一條腿。
(2)危害;損害:
That case has hurt his reputation. 那個(gè)案件損害了他的聲譽(yù)。
I don't mean to hurt you. 我本無(wú)意傷害你的感情。
3.help v.
(1)幫助;援助;救助:
He devoted his life to helping the disabled. 他付出一生的心血去幫助那些殘疾人。
Would you help me to lift this box? 你能否幫我抬一下這只箱子?
(2)對(duì)……有幫助;對(duì)……有好處:
My knowledge of French helped me a lot while I was travelling in France. 我在法國(guó)旅行時(shí),我的法文知識(shí)幫了我大忙。
Humour can help in a tense situation. 幽默能夠緩和緊張局面。
