Is a Test of Spoken English Necessary?

As regards a test of spoken English ,there has been a hated discussion among the general public inour society. People who believe in its necessity argue that spoken English test helps to evaluatestudents' spoken English ability. What’s more，it will definitely stimulate students to lay moreemphasis on listening and speaking，which are surely needed in their future career.

By contrast，others hold that spoken English test is of no necessity. According to a recent surveyconducted by China Daily，a slight proportion of college graduates as low as 8. 37 percent actuallyuse spoken English in their daily work. In addition，spoken English test may not faithfully reflect thelevel and therefore cast doubt on college students.

As far as I am concerned，I am most happy to attend such a test of spoken English. I plan to seizeevery chance to improve my oral English ability so as to achieve outstanding performance in thecoming test.(150詞)
