在我們進(jìn)行翻譯的時候，要翻譯“幾乎不”這個意思，只能夠用hardly，scarcely這兩個詞表示否定，不能用almost not。

【誤】She said almost nothing at the meeting.

她在會議上幾乎什么也沒說。

【正】She said hardly nothingat the meeting.

【正】She has changed so much that I can scarcely recognize her.

她改變這么大，我?guī)缀跽J(rèn)不出來了。

【正】The question was so hard that he could scarcely answer it.

簡而言之，記住翻譯中文中的“幾乎不”，不能用“almost not”，可以用hardly或者是用scarcely這2個表示否定的詞。
