about
(and)about time
用：用來表示某人早該做某事，或某事早該做而拖延至今。
注：早就該了…了；也該…了；是（該）…的時(shí)候了。這個(gè)短語既可單獨(dú)
使用，也可用在it is，was之后。
例：A: Julia and Mark got married last week.
朱麗婭扣馬克上星期結(jié)婚了。
B: About time, too! They've known each other for so many years.
他們也該結(jié)婚了，都認(rèn)識(shí)了那么多年了！
It's about time you had your hair cut.
你早就該理發(fā)了!
be about to 動(dòng)詞
用：這個(gè)句式在口語中用來表示將作(打算做、將從事)某事。有時(shí)在正
式場(chǎng)合使用。
例：okay, I'm about to 1ea}e. See you on Monday!
好.我要走啦。星期一見!

用：大人對(duì)小孩，工頭等對(duì)工人、屬下的命令口氣用語。
應(yīng)：快點(diǎn)干!干快些!別磨蹭!
例：Hey, you boys, be quick about it!
嘿，小子們，快點(diǎn)干活!
Lust bring me that CU and be quick about it.
把那個(gè)CD給我拿來，快點(diǎn)!
How （what)一about... ?
用：這是口語中常用的句式，在下面S種場(chǎng)合下使用:
〔1）提建議時(shí)用：一好嗎?…怎么樣?一好不好?
例：What about a Wednesday?
找一個(gè)星期三怎么樣?
How about another song, children?
孩子們，再唱支歌好不好?
How about letting Bill try it?
讓比爾試試好嗎?
注：作為提建議的用語.我們還可以說Haw would you十動(dòng)詞，或者How's about 名詞或動(dòng)名詞。
②征求別人意見時(shí)
意：你看…怎么樣啊?
例：Haw about ringing .Iim tonight?
今晚給吉姆打電話怎么樣?

③用來詢問情況，打聽消息.
意：…怎么樣了?…呢?

用:這是個(gè)表示驚喜、贊揚(yáng)、羨慕，及對(duì)某個(gè)巧合表示嘆感的習(xí)語。
意：哇，是這樣啊!可不是嗎?真了不起!
例.A: Have you heard Jack's off to Africa tomorrow?
杰克明天要去非洲啦，你聽說了嗎?
B: Wow, how about that!
哇，真棒啊!

用：表示話講完了
意：就是這樣;就這些;沒有了;就那么回事。也說That's about all。
